John Walton calls his first Caps game winner

When John Walton was named the Caps’ new play-by-play radio voice, he made it clear that his signature call from Hershey wasn’t going anywhere. From Caps Insider:

Walton's signature call after a Bears' victory has been, “Good morning, good afternoon and good night [insert name of team the Bears just beat here].”
That, he said, is also making its way down I-83.
“If the question is will I continue to do that,” he said with a laugh, “the answer is, 'Yes.'”

In fact, the signature surfaced during the Caps’ preseason, but that doesn’t really count. Here, then, is the first real signature call of Walton’s Caps tenure. It came in overtime, which isn’t a bad way to do it. Audio via Capitals Overtime.
