LaVar Arrington might be a Post co-worker and, heck, a friend at this point, but my journalistic duty compels me to post this video of his Friday evening first pitch at the Nats game.
It wasn’t great. You can see Screech mocking him, and even hear someone yelling out “John Wall!”
On the other hand, after this pitch, LaVar got me into the Diamond Club, where the beers are free and the views are glorious. And did you know that even in an extra-inning game, the Diamond Club still sells beers (they weren’t free all night)? While the rest of the park is doomed to parched lips and dry throats? Man it was nice in there.
So thanks for that, LaVar. I owe you one. Well, two, now.
