Len Bias coverage, 26 years ago


I don’t think 26 years is a particularly notable anniversary, but people on the Internet were talking about Len Bias Tuesday morning, as they always do on the anniversary of his death.

And I don’t think I had ever gone back to The Post’s editions of June 20, 1986, to see how the story was played. So here are images of the front page of the paper, and the Sports front, below. Bylines include Gildea, Jenkins, Kornheiser and Wilbon.

Also, I just saw these Bias-themed “Lensanity” shirts this week. Not sure how to feel about that.
