Libyan rebel wears American U. Blue Crew shirt

I’ve always loved American University’s small but hearty Blue Crew, the athletics fan club group. I wrote about their Phil Bender Day, and I’m forever going on about Clawed the Eagle, and the Blue Crew uses an image of Clawed in a hard hat on their shirts, so I’m all in favor.

I also love the photo gallery on the AU athletics Web site of American fans wearing their Blue Crew shirts all over the globe. Above is a student in Australia, via that site.

And here’s one in Italy, via that site.

And here, via Reader Dan D. via his friend Stephanie L., is what appears to be a Libyan rebel, in what appears to be an American University Clawed the Eagle Blue Crew shirt.

That’s unique.
