Maryland enlists Gary Williams to help sell football tickets

Maryland football is now 2-0, and could get halfway to bowl eligibility Saturday afternoon against Connecticut. (The Huskies are a slight favorite on the road.)

Still, tickets evidently remain. Which led Gary Williams to record this little promo, urging fans to get on board.

“With a great win over Temple this past weekend, our football team is off to a 2-0 start and excitement is building for this Saturday’s ACC-Big East battle against Connecticut,” Williams says in the video. “There’s no better way to show your Maryland pride than by spending a Saturday in College Park. Please consider attending this important game. We need a spirited crowd to help us in this critical matchup.

“The electric atmosphere you help create is the key to creating a home-field advantage. Tickets to the Maryland-UConn game can be purchased for as low as $30. Please visit UMTerps.com or call 1-800-IM-A-TERP. Thanks again for your continued support, and we’ll see you this weekend. Go Terps!”
