Early on Tuesday afternoon, Randy Edsall announced that senior wide receiver Ronnie Tyler would not travel to N.C. State due to academic issues. That effectively ends Tyler’s collegiate career. With Tyler hailing from South Carolina, and set to play his final game, you can probably guess he’d have had family in attendance.
Edsall also announced that defensive end David Mackall, suspended indefinitely, would likely not be returning this season.
And around the same time, a few Terps football players on Twitter suddenly started seeming fairly grumpy. Honestly, I can’t say for sure that these tweets are all related to Edsall’s announcement, it seemed like a lot of unhappiness was going around.
