Maryland introduces Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Cheap Seats

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is “Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware’s largest retailer of closeout, surplus and salvage merchandise,” as if you didn’t know.

The chain is also all about sports marketing, from a deal with Kevin Harvick to “Cheap Seats” ticketing deals with franchises from the Erie SeaWolves, Harrisburg Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels to the Hershey Bears and the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins.

And now, the Maryland Terrapins football team.

Patrick Stevens of the Washington Times noted on Thursday the introduction of the “Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Cheap Seats” in Section 312 of the upper deck. That’s quite a name.

Ollie’s then tweeted a link to the Maryland ticketing page, along with the magic Ollie’s code: OBO12. The Cheap Seats seats seem to be going for $13. Which isn’t nearly as impressive as the name “Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Cheap Seats,” especially since the school is advertising a family four-pack of non Cheap Seats seats at Saturday’s game for $40.

Note: The family four-pack requires a purchase of four seats. The Ollie’s Cheap Seats, at $13, are indeed the cheapest individual seats.
