Maryland-Notre Dame tickets still available

A few months ago, I got several messages from Redskins season ticket holders who were disappointed that their freebie gift from the team for renewing consisted of Kenny Chesney tickets instead of Man. U.-Barca or Maryland-Notre Dame tickets.

Now, the team had told fans that there was a limited supply of tickets, and they were freebies in any case, so maybe no one should have gotten too worked up.

Still, I’ve gotten a few messages in recent days, pointing out that while the Redskins said the Maryland-Notre Dame option was “oversubscribed” in June, there are enough upper-level tickets remaining for a special Living Social deal this week. As I publish this, more than 700 of these deals were purchased, meaning there were at least 1,400 upper-level or party-deck tickets available.

And that enough tickets remain for Ticketmaster to send out e-mails promoting a buy-3-get-1-free offer.
