Maryland playcalling signs feature Scott Van Pelt, Boomer Esiason

(Photos by Charlie DeBoyace - The Diamondback, used with permission.)
When last we saw the Maryland football team’s play-calling placards, they featured Regis Philbin and tigers and solar flares and the Cross of St. George.

As ably documented by Charlie DeBoyace of The Diamondback, whose photos are used here with permission, the play-calling signs against Temple also included famous former Maryland students like Scott Van Pelt, Boomer Esiason and Torrey Smith. Also, the Washington Monument. And Lady Gaga. See Charlie’s full collection here.

Results didn’t seem to work, very well, though. Maybe next week they can go with Sergey Brin, Jim Henson and Norman Chad.
