Morning pixels: Mike Green, Trevor Booker ranked ‘hot’

I’ve been pretty good about keeping the girly stuff off your bog, but I found this hilarious so we’re taking an estrogen break.

Cosmopolitan Magazine publishes a lot of pretty ridiculous stuff. I should know because I read it every month (Don’t tell anyone.)

Thanks to a player ranking poll, Capitals defenseman Mike Green and Wizards forward Trevor Booker were ranked among the hottest in their respective leagues. Don’t ask how they came up with the numbers. They certainly didn’t ask me.

Green came in at the top of his list, which would imply that he’s the hottest player in the NHL. The ladies seem to like Green, but a number one ranking? Apparently Vespas are a turn on.

Booker ranked 11th of 30. It’s not a bad choice. You know, if you’re into guys with Dallas Cowboys tattoos.

BECAUSE YOU DON’T READ THE PAPER...

* Bryce Harper went went 3 for 4 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. If you’re not on board the Harper train yet, hop on.

* Jake Arrieta threw eight scoreless innings for the Orioles. Hey, there’s Orioles in the paper!

* When Nene came to the Wizards, he had more than just a new team to learn. “I just need to learn the streets. Alphabet streets.”

TWEET OF THE NIGHT
I feel ya, Trevor.

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Troy Brouwer on the fans staying through triple overtime:

“The fans were great tonight. They stayed all the way in until 12 o’clock-plus, and, you know we thank them for that. We’re going to be excited to play again on Saturday.”

HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT
Normally this is where I’d put the video of Ian Desmond’s two-run walk off homer, but MLB is silly about what videos they allow elsewhere. So here’s Ian Desmond and Bryce Harper talking about it (you can see the highlight here.)

THING THAT WILL MAKE YOU CRY
When they aren’t tearing apart your house, dogs are awesome.
