Morning pixels:

The National League won the All-Star game, giving the Senior Circuit home-field advantage in this year’s World Series. This, of course, caused Nats fans everywhere to jump in their time machines and fast forward to October.

Our own Adam Kilgore and Barry Svrluga were among the first to fan the flames...

There could be Game7 of the World Series and a presidential election within one week in D.C.

Nationals a step closer to hosting Game 7.

And then people got a little excited...

Looks like Game 7 of the @MLB World Series will be played at @Nationals Park. #Natitude

So, Nationals might host Game 7 of the World Series. Who knows, might even be a sell-out!

Game 7 of the World Series in Nationals Park, Yeah that sounds reallllll good to me.

Now, I’m not the most superstitious of folks, but let’s dial it back for now. You know, just in case “jinx” is an actual thing.

BECAUSE YOU DON’T READ THE PAPER...
* Bryce Harper stood out in last night’s All-Star Game, but he’d probably like to take a few plays back.

* Boz says the Nats All-Star showing indicates that they’re the “best power-pitching team in the sport and a franchise with an immediate future as bright, or conceivably brighter, than any team.”

* John Wall thinks the Wizards can make the playoffs.

* D.C. United has some new investors, which should be a big help in finding a new stadium.

TWEET OF THE NIGHT
Harper’s gold cleats explained...

Bryce Harper on his shoes: “I just told them, I want as much gold on there as I can. They said ok. They were pretty exciting. I liked them.”

— Adam Kilgore (@AdamKilgoreWP) July 11, 2012

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Bryce Harper on the advice he got from Chipper Jones:

“He told me no matter how much fame and fortune you get, don’t change your game, your mentality. He said, ‘Be Bryce.’ That’s what I’m going to take with me.”

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT II

Bryce Harper on losing a ball in the lights and missing a routine catch:

“Just lost it,” Harper said. “What are you going to do? It didn’t hit me in the head, so I think I’m okay.”

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT III

Stephen Strasburg on how well the Nats we received at the All-Star Game:

“Everything here was a reflection of the times. Players asked what it’s like to play in Nats Park, even about little things like the curly ‘W.’ They want to know all about our team now. When Ryan Zimmerman came [in the 100-loss days just a few years ago], I don’t imagine it was like that.”

HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT
It’s not really the highlight of the night, but at the 1:25 mark of his locker room speech, Chipper Jones casually mentions that Bryce Harper almost killed his kid with a line drive...
