Morning pixels: Wizards secure third overall pick in the draft

The Wizards ended up with the third pick in this year’s NBA draft. It’s universally agreed upon that this is a good outcome. What’s not universal is what they’ll do with it.

Anthony Davis likely will go first to the New Orleans Hornets. After that, it’s anyone’s guess at this point. And there was a lot of guessing going on last night.

“If New Orleans goes with Davis and the Bobcats go with Robinson, then the best option left is Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for the Wizards,” said Wizards Extreme.

“My Early big board. #1 davis. #2 robinson. #3 Barnes,” declared Frank Hanrahan on Twitter.

“I currently think they’ll take Robinson, a high-character D.C. native who can rebound the Hades out of the ball, defend, score in the pivot and will never ever Blatche the team,” noted Tom Ziller of SB Nation.

“With the No. 3 pick, the Wizards are likely to consider three prospects: Florida shooting guard Bradley Beal, Kentucky forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson,” posted Bullets Forever.

And so on, and so on. It’s a shame none of them have a “III” in their name. That would make this decision so much easier.

BECAUSE YOU DON’T READ THE PAPER...
* The Wizards won the third pick in this year’s NBA draft, which likely means no unibrows in D.C.

* Chien-Ming Wang’s return to the mound did not go as expected.

* The U.S. Men’s national team lost 4-1 in last night’s friendly against Brazil.

* Oh, and Henry Rodriguez slammed his finger in a bathroom door.

WHAT TO WATCH TODAY
For the second Thursday in a row, there are no local games on television. I apologize in advance for a boring Morning Pixels tomorrow. All TV/Radio listings are here.

WHEN CORGIS ATTACK
A Corgi with a penchant for attacking household products almost blows up his owner’s house.

MORE ANIMALS
I can’t teach my dogs not to pee in the house, but this guy can get his hamster to play dead.
