Must Groh Go?

And we have lift-off. After months, nay, years of waiting, GrohMustGo pops up, promising bake sales to buy out Coach Wahoo's contract. GrohsGottaGo chimes in, linking to Coaching Football for Dummies promising Groh-isms. (Site slogan: "Doing Nothing for Virginia Football Since 2001.") The fine folks (and Hokie fans) behind PleaseDon'tFireAlGroh report that Groh's new fan friendly campaign includes allowing "Georgia Tech to build an insurmountable lead before 8:30PM, so Virginia fans will have the opportunity to switch channels to NBC to see if Jim and Pam finally get together on the season premiere of The Office."

Wonder how Mike Wise feels after he predicted the GrohMustGo server would be shut down until at least December?

More piling on:

850 and 620 The Blog: So, how much does Al Groh make again, and how long is that contract?

OutSports: We found out further proof that Al Groh at Virginia needs to be fired. ASAP. (Don't follow this link if you don't enjoy copious pics of almost entirely naked men.)

DaveSez: ....fans are turning on him in droves.

Kool-Ade: [This poem is way too long to post here and hurts my head; an excerpt:]

Everyone bought it. They gave Groh a pass. Even the press, whom he'd kicked in the ass. Groh's palace was rising from George Welsh's shards. Was it part of the plan that the house was of cards?

Ben G: Virginia football is on a ride...and everyone is ready to get off.

(P.S.: Not sure why everyone is complaining. The Cavs' offense is way better than North Texas's. And their rushing offense is almost as good as Temple's. Plus, Al Groh "is an expert at evaluating and developing exceptional talent." The media guide sez so. It also sez that "the ACC has firmly positioned itself as the premier football conference in the nation.")

Added: FireChuckAmato reports 80,000 hits on Monday.

Added: CokerMustGo declares the loss to Louisville "the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back."
