“May have missed this before but the Nats started putting the players Twitter handle on the giant center field scoreboard as they’re batting,” newish Post Nats writer James Wagner wrote over the weekend.
Well James, if you missed it, I missed it too.
As seen above, though, it’s true. The arrow is an awesome special effect added by me, and doesn’t actually appear on the giant center field scoreboard.
“We just started doing this for players that are on Twitter as part of our larger new media strategy,” a Nats spokeswoman e-mailed me.
Speaking of the Nats and Twitter, the club is hosting its first-ever Tweet-up on July 3. Or, more accurately, the “first-ever Ignite Your NATITUDE tweet-up.”
