Nats will sell standing room only playoff tickets

When they clinched the playoff berth.

Based on current prices on the secondary market for Nats playoff tickets (hint: high), there will likely be strong interest in this news: The team will sell $30 standing room only tickets for a potential wild card or division series game. The team has not yet announced standing room prices for potential league championship or world series games.

The tickets can be purchased on the day of every playoff game at the Nationals Park box office, outside the center field gate. The team has not yet announced how many standing room seats will be offered. Tickets will be limited to two per person.

As always, the Nats Park box office will open at 10 a.m. on game days Monday through Saturday, and at 9 a.m. before Sunday games. Just expect to be interviewed by TV cameras and/or bloggers if you’re first in line.

And if you’ve ever been to Nats Park, you’ll agree that there are plenty of places to grab excellent views without sitting down in a formal seat. At $30 for playoff baseball, these tickets will probably be pretty popular.
