Obama on Nats in the World Series: ‘It’s going to happen’

(Jonathan Newton - WASHINGTON POST)
Yesterday, the White House threw its support behind Teddy. Today, it’s the entire Nationals team.

President Obama is confident that the Nats can go the distance in the playoffs, and went so far as to publicly say so. From the AP:

Obama says during a campaign stop in Virginia that he is “looking forward to a White Sox-Nationals World Series.” The president says, “It’s going to happen.”

He sounds so confident, as if there is some sort of secret executive order on World Series matchups, which obviously there isn’t. Right?

Obama, a well-known White Sox fan, said in July that the Nats are his “second-favorite team,” so the prediction isn’t that surprising. The question is, if that happens, will he openly root against the Nats?
