I realize these photos are blurry and hard to decipher, but the red shirt-like image seen above is reportedly an Alex Ovechkin tee. It’s shown on-stage, during Sunday night’s Andrew W.K. show at the 9:30 Club.
Reader Graham, who sent along these images, reports that someone threw this shirt onto the stage during the show, prompting Andrew W.K. to hang it on one of the amps for the duration. The shirt pictures Ovechkin with a bloody nose — in homage to the “I Get Wet” album cover — with the words “Party Hard” written above Ovechkin’s face. The “R,” of course, is the Cyrillic character that looks like a backwards R.
Graham also said he thought he saw a few people in the audience wearing this shirt. If the creators would like credit, send an e-mail.
