Redskins and Caps walk the fashion runway

Brian Orakpo, John Carlson, Karl Alzner, DeAngelo Hall, Jeff Schultz and Troy Brouwer were among the celebrity guest models at Wednesday’s third annual “Walk This Way” fashion event.

The show raises money for Becky’s Fund, a nonprofit that combats domestic and dating violence. There are actual models, and then there are the celebrity sports models, which is, obviously, much more interesting.

Like, before the show, Eric Finn designer Matt Landsberg was escorting Hall to the green room, up three flights of stairs in D.C.’s Mellon Auditorium.

“Now you know we have a game this week, right?” Hall said, and opted for the elevator instead.

Brouwer, meantime, wasn’t planning on walking in the show, telling organizers “that’s not really my thing.” But the energy overcame him, and he appeared to be working the crowd by the time he got out there.

Those stories come courtesy the event’s organizers, obviously. There was no story for Karlzner, but nice to see them together again, right?
