For better or worse, Jason Campbell was about as accessible after Redskins practices as, say, Lorenzo Alexander or Reed Doughty. Sure, Campbell had his scheduled days to address the media, but you could usually get the former first-round pick for a few minutes even on his non-media days, especially during the laidback early weeks of preseason.
This summer promises a slightly different arrangement. The Redskins have already e-mailed media members about Robert Griffin III’s media availability, through the end of August, and it will be limited.
Griffin, according to the team, will be available once a week, starting this Wednesday and running through the end of training camp. That means there are six Griffin media days, plus post-game press conferences.
“Out-of-town media wishing to speak with Robert Griffin III,” the team wrote, “are strongly encouraged to plan visits for those dates.”
This should please the fans who are worried that the quarterback is overexposed.
