Robert Griffin III cuts down the net for Baylor

If there were any doubt about how closely tied Robert Griffin III is to the Baylor athletics program, let’s put that doubt to rest with this photo.

Not only did RGIII leave Northern Virginia after his card signing on Saturday and jet to Denver for the women’s Final Four semifinals, he remained there until Tuesday’s final. Which Baylor won. And then he helped the Bears cut down the nets, and posed in the team photo, and held the trophy, and everything else.

“Nat Champs 40-0, Heisman, Alamo Bowl champs & 10 wins, 2 AP POY, Elite 8 for Boys=best sports year in Baylor History Sic’Em,” he later wrote on Twitter.
