In this 75th anniversary year of the Redskins signing Sammy Baugh, more than one Skins fan has compared the greatest Redskin of all time with the newest Washington quarterback.
Baugh and RGIII, of course, come from the same geographic area, were considered genre-breaking stars in college, and came to the pro game with an incredible amount of hype. Robert Griffin III doesn’t punt, but other than that, it’s a fairly apt comparison.
Anyhow, here they are together, in Canton. The Redskins rookies toured the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday, and the museum posted this image on Instagram. Aside from adding a few more decimals to the 14,000 pounds of pressure already teetering on the young man’s shoulders, it’s a pretty cool sight.
