Stephen Strasburg debuts new Toyota ad

Since Bruce Boudreau left town and Eastern Motors got out of the mass athlete commercial business, D.C. has been searching for a lovable local sports star to take over the cable airwaves.

Here’s Stephen Strasburg doing an ad for Toyota dealerships. D.C. is still searching.

“I’m Stephen Strasburg, and Toyota is the easiest pitch I’ll make all year,” he says in his one speaking line.

Still, seeing this makes Washington feel one step closer to having Nats Fever, or Natitude, or whatever, and I’m not kidding about that. Stephen Strasburg should be doing marginally awkward TV spots for local car dealers. And just wait until Bryce Harper rolls into town.
