There wasn’t much to dislike from the Strasburg portions of Tuesday’s Nats game. He allowed two hits, threw first-pitch strikes to 14 of 17 batters, touched 99, dropped filthy change-ups, put down a perfect sacrifice bunt, ran the basepaths well, and left with a three-run lead.
He also wore his collar popped while running the bases in the second. Maybe all pitchers do this, but it seemed unusual to me. And when I mentioned it on Twitter, a lot of people replied with some variety of this: “SWAG.”
So for anyone who missed it, here’s the visual.
