On the one hand, a new day is dawning, and optimism is the spirit of the moment, and history is just a bunch of pizza-stained media guides shoved under my desk.
On the other hand, this jersey — spotted by Reader John at the NFL shop in mid-town Manhattan on Wednesday — is fairly amusing. And it does capture the lingering fear among a certain segment of D.C. sports fans.
So I say it’s great, and sad, and with any luck a figment of the past.
