The Ovechkin-Andrew W.K. t-shirt

When I posted those images of the Alex Ovechkin-Andrew W.K. t-shirt that wound up on stage at the 9:30 Club earlier this week, they were blurry and hard to see.

Luckily, the man behind the shirts — Reader Johnny — sent along this image. Which, in a perfect bit of symmetry, also stars Craig Laughlin, whom I’ve written about more than once this week.

This picture, obviously comes from Pittsburgh shortly after the Winter Classic.

I asked Johnny whether these completely odd shirts are for sale anywhere.

“I usually just have a couple on hand when I’m wearing mine at Verizon Center in case someone asks about it,” he responded. “Haven’t set up a website as of yet, but perhaps I will now. (Although I’m aware that Ovie W.K. is even more obscure in its appeal than a Bohvechkin tee.)

Likely so, yes. But this is still an amazing image.
