The upper deck at FedEx Field

These images are from draft night at FedEx Field, but i forgot to post them. What’s a month late among friends? We are friends, right?

Mike Jones reported last month that the Skins had received approval to “to remove 4,000 additional seats” from FedEx Field, making the new capacity around 79,000. Via Jones, “the team said in its application to the department that the seats were being removed to make room for the completion of an upper level party deck standing room area, and to renovate the stadium’s fifth-floor suite areas.”

If you compare these draft night photos to the ones from last Spring, you can see pretty clearly which seats were newly removed: the upper most rows, in the diagonal end zone sections.
