The view from FedEx Field, Perry Kitchen’s neck, an Ovechkin ornament

Sometimes I get sick of doing blog items consisting of nothing but a single image. So instead I’m doing these blog items consisting of many images.

Above, an amazing photo from Matt Terl, showing that FedEx Field may now have a better D.C. vista than Nats Park. He has many more images here. They’re actually quite beautiful.

Not beautiful: Perry Kitchen’s neck, after a run-in with New York’s Luke Rodgers last weekend. Not pleasant. The image comes from Steve Cronin’s Twitter account.

Also not pleasant: the scar on Charlie Davies’s torso. This is via Capital Games, which got the image from photographer Chris Floyd’s Web site.

More pleasant: this Alex Ovechkin Christmas ornament, the only Hallmark ornament this season dedicated to an NHL player. It’s also via Capital Games; the ornament is for sale starting this week.

Speaking of weird Caps merchandise, this Caps hat has “1976” on the back for reasons that no one seems to have figured out.

As you might have heard, the Caps did a small bit of sprucing up to their Ballston practice rink; this is what it looks like now. Via @skykerstein.

New Bryce Harper Harrisburg tees. Via @jwilhidejr.

Speaking of minor-league swag, this is two weeks old, but I just adored this Abner Doubleday bobblehead the Potomac Nationals gave out. Really swell.

Weird style watch: Nick Young’s hair.

Weird style watch: Livan Hernandez’s eyebrows.
