Today in weird Strasburg jerseys

Stephen Strasburg’s Nats jersey has already been turned into He’ll Be Back and Jeezus and Tommy John. It was everywhere in Nats Park before the kid even threw a big-league pitch, and it remains the Nats’ best-selling jersey.

And people keep doing weird things to it. Above, a photo via @EmGusk from the ballpark on Friday night. That’s no good.

Below, an image from Kohl’s Web site via @RecordsAndRadio and @NatashaJasso, who actually saw this Expos Strasburg jersey in a Kohl’s retail outlet. The one pictured here is for boys; “throwback jersey design lets your little Washington Nationals fan celebrate the team’s history as the Montreal Expos,” the Web site inexplicably says.

In other Nats news, this comes from The Daily Show’s Wyatt Cenac, talking about the post-Osama-death rally at the White House:

It was very weird. Because there was a certain aspect of it where you weren’t sure if they would have done the exact same thing if the Nationals had just won the World Series.

Hahaha.
