If I could summarize the feelings of most Redskins fans I know concerning the upcoming season, it would go like this: extremely pleased with the defensive signings and draft picks, sort of cautiously concerned about the offensive line, and straight-up terrified about the quarterbacking prospects. All of that probably averages out to guesses of 6-10 and 7-9 and 8-8 from Skins fandom.
The Vegas people appear to be even more concerned. One of the Hogs Haven bloggers got a print-out of current Super Bowl odds offered by the Mirage, an MGM property, on Sunday. The Redskins were 75-1, ahead of only the Bills and Panthers. Depending on how much these have been updated, that would seem to suggest that Vegas oddsmakers have more faith in Tim Tebow and Tarvaris Jackson than in John Beck.
On Bodog, by comparison, the Redskins are 80-1, which is ahead of the Bills, Panthers and Bengals, and tied with the Browns, Broncos and Seahawks.
Pinnacle Sports has the Skins at 79-1, better than the Cardinals, Broncos, Browns, Seahawks, Bills and Panthers.
