Weezer in D.C. United apparel

D.C. United won’t debut its alternate third kit at RFK Stadium until early July, but the all-red number made its way to the home grounds over the weekend on the body of Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo.

His red-rocking pose, it should be noted, was startlingly similar to that displayed by Snoop Dogg during a show in Baltimore last month. In the sense that both men were wearing red sports jerseys and holding microphones while glancing to their right, I guess. Maybe not that startling.

In other news, the lads from United — including Chris Pontius, Dax McCarty and Charlie Davies — chatted up Cuomo backstage and posed with him and the third kit.

Also, Davies ran up and down the RFK sidelines on Sunday, carrying a large flag. That’s the good life.
