When Adam Oates was traded to Washington

Because I’m about two weeks from becoming a full-time nostalgia columnist who spends half his time bemoaning the fact that nobody reads Sinclair Lewis any more, here’s what The Post sports front looked like the day the Caps traded for new coach Adam Oates in March of 1997.

Look at all the ancient relics he shared space with. Like then-Orioles owner Peter Angelos. And then-active-NBA-player Juwan Howard.
