Wizards take multiple steps back

We make some steps forward, then we take a huge step back,” John Wall said last February, when his team lost six straight.

“I don’t want to take no steps back,” Nick Young said last December, when his play was a bit erratic. “I don’t want to go back, I want to go forward.”

Well, one season later, the steps again appear to be going backward, and quickly. Michael Lee elicited three amazing step-back quotes on Wednesday, each step-backier than the last.

“One step forward, two steps back,” Saunders said.

“Looked like we took five steps back,” Rashard Lewis said.

“Seemed like we took nine steps back,” Wall said

Can I get a dozen? Do I hear 15? Who will be the first Wizard to suggest this team has gone back more than 20 steps?

Also, the Wizards player of the game on Wednesday put up, as the Wizznutzz noted, the “Worst player-of-the-game stats in the history of players of the game.”
