The Nats’ win probability chart from Game 5

October 15, 2012

This is about the cruelest graphic The Post Sports section has produced in my memory (click to expand).

It shows the Nats’ win expectancy percentage throughout Game 5 on Friday, according to FanGraphs. When there were two outs in the ninth and a runner on third, the percentage was 96.5, meaning the Nats would win 96.5 percent of such games. After two walks and two singles, the percentage had dipped to 7.4.
