Georgetown tweeted images today of the planned new home grays for the 2012-\13 season. The renderings of the Jordan Brand designs are above. The reaction on Twitter and in comment sections was mostly positive, although seeing Michael Jordan’s name and logo on a Georgetown uniform stung a bit for some of you.
The most interesting feature is the back (below), which displays an image of legendary coach John Thompson and the year 1984, representing Georgetown’s championship season. The team hasn’t announced which game they’ll debut the new gear, or whether they’ll be available for purchase by the general public. The season starts Nov. 9 against Florida in a game on the USS Bataan, and the team plays at home against Duquesne at Verizon Center on Nov. 11.
So, what do you think?
