Men’s basketball kicks off its season tonight, and Maryland is playing No. 3 Kentucky on national television. The NCAA’s decision to grant eligibility to Dez Wells has helped Maryland jockey for some of Kentucky’s spotlight. And if you want a spectacular scene, you can’t beat the deck of an aircraft carrier, which is where Georgetown will debut on the USS Bataan in Jacksonville against No. 10 Florida. (To whet your appetite, here’s a gallery of spectacular photos from last year’s game between North Carolina and Michigan State aboard the USS Carl Vinson.)
Here are a few things to get you ready for tonight, whether you’re a Maryland fan, a Georgetown fan, or otherwise.
