P.G. County executive ups ante on Ravens-Redskins bet

December 7, 2012

And now, here’s grown men being silly.

Yesterday, Dan told you the tale of Howard County Executive Ken Ulman, who challenged P.G. County Executive Rushern Baker to a bet over Sunday’s Redskins-Ravens matchup. Ulman, who is predicting a Ravens win, promised to wear a RGIII jersey if the Redskins were victorious.

Apparently that wasn’t good enough. Yesterday’s tipster, Reader Matt, sends along word of a counter-offer from Baker.

“What I want to do is up the ante,” Baker said during an interview with both executives on Fox 5. “How about, the person who loses will not only wear the team’s jersey, but also sings, in your case, sings ‘Hail to the Redskins,’ while picking up trash on county roads. How about that?”

Ooooh. Your move, sir.

“I’m so confident in a Ravens victory this Sunday at FedEx field that you’re on,” Ulman replied. “Whatever you can come up with, you’re on. I’m not even going to have to begin to learn ‘Hail to the Redskins.'”

That’s a lot of trash talk for a fake rivalry.
