Morning Pixels: Three wins means a Wizards winning streak

January 15, 2013

We’ve spent a lot of time this season reading depressing Wizards quotes. But for once, the sad pixels are coming out of the visitor’s locker room.

“We talked about that before the game — just what [John] Wall does, and how he creates tempo, and everyone else is able to feed off that. And I think at half it was 19-1 transition points. That’s tough to overcome.”  — Magic Coach Jacque Vaughn

“We got completely outplayed tonight in every aspect of the game. We just didn’t have it tonight.” — J.J. Redick

“We just didn’t accept the challenge on defense. They got too many layups. They had [almost] 60 points in the first half. We didn’t come to play today.” — Glen Davis

“I just thought we were a little sluggish, a little lethargic, especially at the beginning of the game.” — Jameer Nelson

It’s been a while since we’ve seen these words coming from the opposite end of the court. It looks good.

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT

Bradley Beal, on last night’s Wiz game:

“That’s just us having fun. I mean, that’s the best basketball we’ve played all year team-wise. Everybody really stepped up. Everybody made shots, played great defense, rebounded the ball well. It was just a great team effort overall.”

PHOTOS OF THE DAY

Michael Morse tweeted pics of his sweet ride. I’m pretty sure that’s a late 60′s model Camaro SS, but if any gearheads want to weigh in, feel free.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT

Wizards highlights, of course.
