After the Redskins last playoff game, there was no shortage of people willing to speak ill about the condition of the field at FedEx. But then football moved on, other teams won games, and it seemed that the storyline had run its course for the moment.
But yesterday was Super Bowl media day, where 87,529 media members gather to ask questions, take pictures of other reporters asking questions, and try to get that one soundbite that the other 87,528 reporters don’t have. And so, Ed Reed was asked about the condition of the field that the Redskins play on.
“For all that money down in D.C., you’d think their field would be better,” Reed told NESN. “That field [stinks]. It does; it was all mud.”
There you have it. FedEx Field has officially made its Super Bowl debut.
