Morning Pixels: Caps ask junior team to change their jerseys

March 22, 2013

The Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League uses the same color scheme as the Caps — red, white, and blue — and the logo on their sweaters bears a striking resemblance to the Caps as well. So much so, in fact, that the Caps decided it wasn’t cool.

Buzzing the Net has some history on the Hurricanes jerseys and why they bear resemblance to the Caps. Apparently they’ve decided to change things up next year.
