RGIII texts Trey Wingo about his knee

Is there any depths to which I would not sink for a Robert Griffin III knee-based headline?

“RGIII talks to pizza delivery man about knee.”

“RGIII’s knee spotted at local eatery.”

“Debate: Does RGIII still appreciate his non-injured knee?”

“RGIII’s knee questions meaning of life, existence of moral code.”

“RGIII watches Knights Who Say Ni

“RGIII to China: Ni Hao!”

“Shanahan: ‘From each according to his ability, to each according to his knee.’ ”

And so on. Which is why, heck yeah, I’ll copy-and-paste the knee-related statement Robert Griffin III provided to ESPN’s Trey Wingo on Tuesday. Via Wingo on Twitter:

My knee is getting better every day. The doctors say I’m ahead of schedule. My goal is to return healthy in week one but if I’m not ready then i will wait until i am, however long that is. My first NFL season and my injury that ended it showed me a lot about the league, my team and myself. i know where my responsibility is within the dilemma that led to me having surgery to repair my knee and all parties involved know their responsibilities as well. I m looking forward to playing the game we all love so much again and not behind at the negative. thanks for the overwhelming level of support that i’ve received, sic em bears and hail to the redskins!!

Not sure there’s any news there, other than that RGIII seems to appreciate just how much people are interested in his knee.

MORE NATS PHOTOSHOPS
A group of Twitter BFFs who have produced an astounding number of Nats-related photoshops have finally joined together on a group blog known as the Nationals Archive. “You never know when you will need to add a photo of a Werthquake, an Adam Bomb, a Zuking, or a Shark Attack,” they write in their introductory manifesto. “As we discussed for approximately 4 minutes on Twitter that fateful morning, the idea built into something a little bigger.”
