Wizards talk superheroes

WizSuperhero

In honor of the new Superman movie “Man of Steel,” Monumental put together a montage of Wizards players talking about which superheroes they’d like to be, and which is most appropriate for their teammates.

Some of the guys had a pretty good base knowledge of superheroes. Others, not so much. Here are the best answers.

Trevor Ariza: If I could be a superhero, I would definitely be the Green Lantern.

Martell Webster: Trevor Ariza would be Spider Man.

Trevor Booker: I say A.J. Price would probably be Speedy Gonzalez. [Note to Booker: Not a superhero.]

Chris Singleton: If I could be a superhero, I’d be the Green Lantern. I think that ring is fresh. But mine would be a pinkie ring, though.

Ariza: If Emeka was a superhero, he would probably be, like, Superman, because off the court he’s hella nerdy. He’s like, Clark Kent.

Emeka Okafor: If I could be a superhero, I’d have to be Superman, just because it’s just an all-in-one shot. The flying thing’s pretty cool, very convenient. You don’t have to deal with traffic to get where you wanna get to. The strength is awesome. Everything.

Webster: Nene is like every superhero wrapped into one. You see his feet and his hands? Ridiculous. Animal. Nene.

A couple of players likened John Wall to the Flash, and Singleton dropped a Star Wars reference. Again, not a superhero.

The video is here. Superhero chatter at the 1:40 mark.
