Every morning, Narron fills out the daily lineup card with his near-perfect handwriting. He’s never taken a class, never been taught and never been helped with his penmanship.
“It goes back to the early ‘90s,” he said. “I just started messing with it.”
Narron writes the main lineup in big, bold black marker. Other players are written underneath in red. Throughout his tenure as a coach, Narron has asked foreign players how to write their names in their given language.
“I do that out of respect,” he said. “I do [the writing] to the best of my ability. Like anything, no matter how trivial it is.”
That respect, though, evidently does not extend to the opposing clubhouse. Monday night, Narron spelled Jordan Zimmermann’s name incorrectly. He did it beautifully, though. Properly motivated, Zimmermann banged out three hits and got the win on the mound.
PAGE SIX ON RGIII’S BACHELOR PARTY
The New York Post says that Joshua Morgan, London Fletcher and DeAngelo Hall attended RGIII’s Vegas bachelor party, that RGIII continued his no-alcohol stance, and that he requested the DJ kill the house music and play only hip-hop.
BOZ ON HARPER AND DAVEY
Some nifty writing by Boz here:
How long will this star, with bursitis, last this season? “I’m going to do everything full force, play hard just the way I’ve been playing,” said Harper.
“He’s probably still going to run into a wall and slide head first,” said Johnson, who must have been a magnificent facilitator of juvenile delinquency as a teen. “I don’t want to put a damper on that. That’s who he is and how he plays the game.”

ESPN THINKS GEORGETOWN IS IN DELAWARE
No, not the Georgetown that actually is in Delaware. We’re talking here about the D.C. college. As captured by Deadspin, a map that was posted on ESPN’s college hoops Facebook page located the Hoyas’ campus somewhere between Elkton and Newark. It was later deleted.
