RGIII’s night in Tennessee, in photos

As you might have heard, Robert Griffin III did not play a single snap Thursday night in Tennessee.

That meant, of course, that he was not shown during the game broadcast, wasn’t photographed by still photographers, didn’t do a live second-half interviews on both radio and TV, and wasn’t mentioned every five or six minutes by the announcers. Also, it means I didn’t take approximately 500 photographs of my TV screen every time he appeared.

In opposite land.

In the real world, I could probably do a post with the 100 best images of Griffin from Thursday night. Instead, I’ll limit myself to these 11. In honor of the number he wears. Plus, uh, the number one. Because he’s No. 1. In our hearts.

Griffin’s night started, of course, with him wearing sunglasses, a headband and headphones, an interesting trio of head accessories.

Soon enough, he was in football clothes, exchanging pleasantries with Dan Snyder.

And launching impressive passes with his left hand, which is noteworthy insofar as he’s a right-handed quarterback.

He also managed to photobomb CSN’s Rob Carlin during a live shot, putting bunny ears above Carlin’s head.

And to do a bit of Michael Jordan styling.

And to wear his full uniform, including helmet.

At some point, though, Griffin acknowledged that he would not be playing. So he started making funny faces at Mike Shanahan.

And wearing the hot fashion item of the summer: the Redskins bucket hat.

Which I really just cannot get enough of.
