The most common answer I get when I ask athletes the last thing they cooked themselves is eggs. Usually scrambled. But Redskins linebacker Nick Barnett throws down in the kitchen. Maybe if I’m lucky, he’ll bring in some leftovers next time.

Nick Barnett, what was the last…

Movie you saw
“The Croods” with my kids. Actually, I’m lying. It was “The Family.”

Book you read
“Llama Llama” to my kids

Thing you cooked
Burritos. Made the meat, made the guacamole. Pico de gallo, cilantro, tomatoes.

Song you downloaded
“Clarity” by Zedd. I needed something upbeat. I was in a “want to be happy” mode, and that song made me happy.

Item of clothing you bought
A pair of shoes.

Person who made you laugh
My mother. She makes up her own words. She pronounces ginkgo biloba, “ginko boo boo.”

Person you texted
My brother.

Thing you took a picture of
The Redskins flag.

Time you cried
When my daughter was born.

Gift you got
A watch from my wife.

Gift you gave
I sent my brother a signed Brian Orakpo jersey.

Date night
Friday. We went to a movie and had some dinner.

Tattoo you got
I can’t remember. I’m done though. I’ve got finish a couple, but no more covering anything that isn’t already covered.

Website you visited
Redskins.com. [more on why later]
