Pierre Garcon’s bye week advice: ‘Don’t get into trouble’

As the Redskins players spend their bye weeks in various places, Pierre Garcon has some advice for them.

“Do not get in trouble,” he told Chick Hernandez of Comcast SportsNet. “Save your money and do not get in trouble, that’s the No. 1 thing. And get back on time. That’s the most important thing.”

Seems reasonable.

Most of the players I talked to before the bye week had plans to travel, either home or on mini vacations. Garcon said he’s staying local.

“I might hang out in D.C.,” he said. “Can’t go to the buildings, to the museums and stuff [because] they’re closed, so I might just hang out and grab something to eat downtown. But I gotta work out and stay in shape for the season. It’s going to be a long haul, the second part of the season, so I gotta be ready for that.”

There’s at least one player Garcon doesn’t have to worry about. Nick Barnett is on a wholesome family vacation. How much trouble can you get into at Disney World?

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Karl Alzner on the new NHL division structure:

“It’s going to be a huge change. It’s going to be very, very tough for us, but at the same time maybe keep us a little more prepared, know what to expect coming into playoffs. I think it will keep the team honest all 82 games.”
