We already have a blog post on our site with video of Mo Creek giving GW a last-second win over Maryland Sunday at the BB&T Classic.
But that blog post was titled ‘Heartbreaking finish masked more Terps struggles at BB&T Classic.’
And since George Washington is about a mile from our office, we really should also have a similar blog post titled ‘Thrilling finish sends GW fans into hysterics.’ Or ‘Euphoric ending sends Colonials to 8-1 for first time in eight years.’ Or ‘Last-second winner backs GW’s claim as D.C.’s best.’
Or something like that.
Anyhow, here’s the video. It starts with the television view of Maurice Creek’s game-winning jumper with less than a second left, before moving on to the view from the floor, and then the view from the stands.
GW, by the way, has now won five of its last eight meetings with the Terps at the BB&T. That’s not helpful to all of our wishes to have local schools play each other every year. Only works if the big boys dominate.
The school also put out this video about the season’s giddy start, which also includes wins over Miami, a ranked Creighton team and Rutgers.
