Dan Snyder has now hired seven head coaches for the Redskins, if you count interim head coach Terry Robiskie for three games in 2000.
The first five times, Snyder was seated on the stage during the ceremonies.
The sixth time, Snyder shook Mike Shanahan’s hand in front of the room, and then sat down in the front row.
The seventh time — Thursday, with Jay Gruden — Snyder took a seat in the second row before the event began, and had no stage role at all.
By 2047, when I’m blogging directly from my eyelids to your eyeballs, Snyder will be hanging out on his hovercraft in the Redskins Park hallway.
Check out the progression.
