Denard Span says he can prolong RGIII’s career

Robert Griffin III, when prompted last summer, sort of mildly appealed to Bryce Harper for sliding assistance.

“If Bryce wants to do that, I’m definitely up for that,” RGIII said.

“I think he’s okay. I don’t slide very well either,” Harper responded.

That’s a lot of indecision. Luckily, Denard Span has fewer doubts.

“RG, man, listen,” Span told Holden Kusnher on 106.7 The Fan over the weekend. “If you’re out there, please listen to me RGIII. You need to get at me. Have your people get at my people, and we can make this work. I can help you out, you can help me out, maybe with my throwing mechanics. And I’ll help you out. I’ll save about three or four more years on your career, RGIII. So just hit me up, man. I’m here for you.”

QUOTE OF THE WEEKEND

The Wizards have lost 10 straight games when they had a chance to go over .500.

“I guess it’s a curse,” Marcin Gortat said after the Wizards lost to the Utah Jazz, 104-101, at EnergySolutions Arena on Saturday night.

ORIOLES ADS IN D.C.

I still think the Bog likely should include the Orioles on its list of home teams. For the hate mail, if nothing else.

THE BEST THANK-YOU NOTE

We already knew that if you send a wedding gift to a Redskins quarterback — any Redskins quarterback — you will receive a hand-signed wedding gift.

But Kirk Cousins is taking things to another level with this note about his newly received spoon rest.
