Fox aired a special episode of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” following last night’s Super Bowl. Joe Theismann made an appearance, and spoke about the experience in a commentary on the show’s Web site.
“I’m a big fan of ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’” said Theisman. “Of course working with Andy [Samberg] and Melissa [Fumero] was just great. They’re terrific.”
Samberg shared the sentiment.
“Joe Theismann was a delight,” said the show’s star. “He’s a charming with a handshake as firm as you’d hope. He’s someone I’ve been a fan of for a long time, ever since I was a kid, and I think expecially given this is the Super Bowl episode, we have a football legend in the episode.”
It’s on my DVR and I haven’t watched it yet, but Theismann’s story line involved some sort of auction and the breaking of his “other leg.” Too soon?
