Redskins promise free WiFi at FedEx Field in 2014

The battle between watching football inside your comfortable home — with cheap beers, large HD televisions, free parking and complimentary wireless — and watching football in an NFL stadium — which often has none of those things — rages on.

The Redskins’ latest counter-punch includes free WiFi, which the team is promising in 2014 in its letters to season ticket holders.

“Many upgrades are scheduled to enhance the game day experience at FedEx Field in 2014, including complimentary Wi-Fi, a mobile app giving season ticketholders in-stadium access to the Red Zone channel, and much more,” the letter reads.

One other interesting point in this mailing: It describes a young nucleus including Robert Griffin III,  Alfred Morris and Trent Williams. But in a nearly identical e-mail to season ticket holders, the team also included the name of Brian Orakpo, whose 2014 employer remains unknown.
